Martin Kaule was born and raised in Berlin. After his studies, he was gripped by a thirst for adventure. For more than 20 years, he has been documenting places of historical memory and has already published numerous books. In addition to historical travel guides, his repertoire now also includes volumes of photographs. After years in the publishing industry, he went into business for himself in 2015 and has since been organizing day excursions and trips to unusual places in Europe. His favorite destinations include Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine and Spitsbergen.
