Johann-Bernhard Haversath is professor emeritus of geography didactics at the University of Giessen. He has worked on contemporary transformation processes and specializes in the countries of Moldova and Romania. He was co-editor of the journal “geographie heute” from 1998 to 2005 and edited the journal “Geographie und ihre Didaktik” from 2006 to the end of 2013. From 2007 to the end of 2018, he was a member of the scientific advisory board of this journal, which has been called “Zeitschrift für Geographiedidaktik/Journal of Geography Education” since the 2014 volume.
